Sarah Norville, LMFT
Therapist | Play Therapy | Family Connection & Relationship Support
Sarah Norville is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive experience supporting children, couples, and families through life’s emotional challenges. She is a Certified Play Therapist and Level 2 trained in the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy, allowing her to guide clients of all ages toward deeper emotional understanding, communication, and connection.
Before becoming a therapist, Sarah worked as a preschool teacher for seven years. It was in the classroom where she recognized a profound need for emotional support in young children and their families. Inspired by this experience—and by her grandmother, who owned the largest daycare in Liberty for over 40 years—Sarah followed her passion for early intervention, family healing, and relationship growth.
Sarah holds a Master of Arts in Counseling with a concentration in marriage, couples, and family therapy, as well as a certification in play therapy from Sam Houston State University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Texas A&M University.
Sarah’s therapy style is collaborative and client-focused. She integrates person-centered therapy, narrative therapy, and child-centered play therapy for her work with children and families. With couples, she uses research-based interventions from the Gottman Method to help partners strengthen their emotional bonds and resolve conflict in healthier ways. No two clients are the same, and Sarah tailors each session to the individual or family’s unique goals and needs.
Whether helping a child find their voice through play, guiding parents through behavioral concerns, or helping a couple reconnect emotionally, Sarah’s goal is to create a compassionate and growth-focused space for healing. Sarah’s approach to therapy reflects this belief—working side by side with her clients to move steadily toward their goals, one step at a time.
"The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction not a destination." – Carl Rogers
Outside the Office
When she’s not working with clients, Sarah enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family. She’s an avid football fan and a lifelong dancer—having started ballet at age two and continuing to dance with teams and companies through high school, college, and beyond. She also loves to crochet, making cozy blankets, scarves, and festive holiday decorations. Sarah is recently married and will soon be changing her last name to Esquivel. Her dream is to travel back to London, her favorite vacation spot so far.
