Mark Asteris, PhD, LPC-S, LSOTP-S
Co-Founder/Owner & Therapist at NewPath | Adults & Teens | Significant Life Challenges
Mark Asteris is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider Supervisor with more than 25 years of experience in the fields of mental health and criminal justice. His approach to therapy is grounded in compassion, honesty, and a deep belief in the power of collaborative conversation to fuel change.
Mark specializes in working with adults and adolescents facing significant life challenges, including addiction, severe mental health disorders, trauma, and relational or behavioral struggles. He sees therapy as a safe space to talk freely—without judgment—and to uncover the motivation and clarity needed to move forward. Rather than offering directives, he serves as a guide, helping individuals explore their own stories and unlock the strengths they already carry within.
His career began as a juvenile probation officer, where he discovered the power of working with families as a whole. He later transitioned into adult probation, bringing his skills to support generational change within the community. More recently, Mark has worked in private practice and led therapeutic intervention groups for both teens and adults.
