Lisa Lamey, LPC-S
Therapist | Trauma & Grief | Christian Counselor
Life brings change—some expected, others uninvited. Often, those changes bring pain, grief, or anxiety that can leave us feeling lost and isolated. When faced alone, those moments can turn into patterns of discouragement, disconnection, and self-doubt.
Lisa Lamey, LPC-S, believes these chapters don’t have to define the whole story. With compassionate, faith-grounded counseling, she helps children, adolescents, and families work through difficult seasons and start writing new, hope-filled chapters in their lives.
With 29 years of experience in education and mental health, Lisa specializes in helping young people and families work through grief, trauma, emotional stress, and behavioral challenges. Her background includes 10 years as a classroom teacher and many more as a school counselor in both elementary and middle school settings. She is also a credentialed minister and active in her church community, serving as a women’s ministry leader and adult Sunday School teacher.
Lisa’s counseling approach combines cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused strategies, and play therapy techniques. She meets each client—whether a child, teen, or parent—where they are, and helps them build a healthier emotional toolkit for the road ahead. Lisa believes in empowering clients to let go of unhealthy thoughts and habits and embrace healing, wholeness, and resilience.
Outside the Office:
Lisa has been married to her husband for 40 years, and together they enjoy the simple joys of life: camping, gardening, fishing, and spending time with their two adult children, three grandchildren, and two very spoiled dogs. She’s a lifelong learner and avid reader, always exploring new ways to grow—personally and professionally.
