Keitha Van Ness, LPC
Therapist | You can create your own change.
Life doesn’t always go as planned. Some days feel heavy, chaotic, or overwhelming—and it can be hard to know where to turn. Keitha Van Ness walks alongside clients through their hardest seasons, helping them explore what’s not working, rediscover their strengths, and move toward peace and clarity.
Keitha works with individuals, couples, and families facing a wide range of challenges, including mood disorders, workplace issues, relationship struggles, stress, and life transitions. She believes that while many of us share similar challenges, no two people experience them in the same way. That’s why her counseling approach is deeply personalized and grounded in empathy, listening, and respect for each client’s story.
Prior to becoming a mental health counselor, Keitha spent seven years as an educator, where she was recognized by the Texas House of Representatives for her excellence in science education. Her ability to teach, connect, and guide remains at the heart of her work in therapy. For over 13 years, she has provided services in nonprofit organizations, the juvenile justice system, a battered women’s shelter, and now in private practice. This wide-ranging experience gives her a unique ability to support clients from all walks of life.
Therapy Approach
Keitha's approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and empowering. She works to truly understand her clients’ perspectives and tailor the counseling process to fit their specific needs, strengths, and goals. With experience in both education and mental health, she brings a well-rounded perspective to her work, guiding clients through self-discovery and growth in a way that is both compassionate and practical.
Keitha’s warm, approachable style makes clients feel seen and supported from the very first session. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for change, she’s here to help you take the next step toward better mental health.
“Let’s begin your journey toward healing—one step at a time.”
