Jon Anitsakis, LPC
Therapist | BPD, Self-Harm | LGBTQIA+ Support
Jon Anitsakis is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for guiding individuals who feel stuck in painful emotional cycles. Whether it’s self-harm, identity confusion, personality struggles, or grief, Jon offers a safe and nonjudgmental space to unravel the internal blocks that keep people from living fully and authentically.
His approach centers on breaking through surface-level symptoms to help clients answer two powerful questions: Why am I feeling this way? and How did I get here? He believes that understanding the why often leads directly to discovering the how—the path forward.
Jon takes an integrative and insight-oriented approach, helping clients explore their behaviors, motivations, desires, fears, and core emotional wounds. He encourages clients to confront uncomfortable truths with compassion and courage so they can begin meaningful healing.
Jon’s early counseling experience comes from working with incarcerated individuals and those navigating chemical dependency. This background gave him deep insight into the complexities of grief, trauma, personality disorders, self-harming behaviors, and existential crisis. He is especially skilled at supporting clients who feel disconnected, hopeless, or uncertain about their sense of purpose.
He works with teens and adults of all backgrounds and provides affirming, inclusive care for members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
