Gracie Powasnik, Counseling Intern

Gracie Powasnik is a graduate student currently completing her clinical internship as part of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She was drawn to the counseling field through her own journey of healing and self-discovery and understands the impact of having someone believe in you—especially during your most vulnerable moments. That lived experience fuels her desire to become the kind of therapist who is supportive, reliable, and genuinely present.

Gracie’s clinical interests include working with individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, relational challenges, and major life transitions. She is especially passionate about helping clients who feel overwhelmed or disconnected find clarity and self-compassion.

In her work, Gracie integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic-based techniques to help clients better understand their emotional patterns and develop practical tools for meaningful, lasting change. She is committed to creating a therapeutic space where clients feel grounded, supported, and empowered to grow.

Gracie provides therapy under the supervision of a licensed clinician as she completes her graduate training.
