Therapist | Compassionate Care | Healing Growth
Denise Donahue is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who is dedicated to creating a therapeutic space where clients feel genuinely heard, supported, and encouraged as they navigate life’s challenges. She offers a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where individuals can safely explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences.
Before entering the counseling field, Denise spent more than twenty years as a piano educator. Through her work in education, she discovered a deep passion for supporting others in their emotional and personal growth—an insight that led her back to graduate school and into her work as a therapist.
Denise works with both adults and children, helping clients build healthier, more fulfilling lives. Her therapeutic style is grounded in practical, evidence-based strategies and focuses on exploring the connections between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. She partners with clients to identify strengths, build effective coping skills, and foster meaningful, lasting change.
Denise specializes in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, women’s issues, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Her clinical experience began in community mental health, where she worked with diverse and underserved populations—an experience that continues to shape her commitment to compassionate, accessible care. She believes deeply that everyone deserves the opportunity to heal, grow, and feel hopeful about their future.
“Healing begins when the body feels safe enough to feel.”
Outside the Office
Outside of the therapy room, Denise enjoys creative and restorative practices that support balance and well-being. She loves creating music, taking nature walks, and practicing yoga to stay grounded and present.
Denise also values time with her husband and cats and is deeply committed to ongoing learning through counseling and continuing education.
