Crystalena Oberweiser, Counseling Intern

Crystalena Oberweiser is currently completing her graduate training in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. With a background as a classroom teacher and autism advocate, she brings both professional and personal experience to her work with clients. Counseling is her second career, but her passion for supporting neurodivergent individuals and their families has been a lifelong calling.

Crystalena understands how isolating the world can feel for those whose brains operate differently. She believes in creating a truly neuro-inclusive space where individuals and their families can feel seen, heard, and respected. Whether you’re navigating identity, communication challenges, or daily overwhelm, she is committed to helping you define what success looks like on your terms.

In her therapeutic approach, Crystalena draws from narrative therapy and solution-focused techniques, working collaboratively to help clients identify meaningful goals and move toward them at their own pace. She asks questions like, “What does success look like for you?”—and uses your answer as the foundation for healing and growth.

Her ultimate goal is to help you lead the life you want, with the brain you have. Crystalena provides services under the supervision of a licensed clinician as she completes her internship requirements.
