Christavia James, LPC-S
Clinical Director | Therapist | Beginning with yourself
Everyone desires love—but many people forget that love begins from within. Whether you’re facing relationship struggles, battling anxiety or depression, or feeling disconnected from your true self, Christavia James is here to help you rediscover peace, confidence, and emotional clarity.
Christavia is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor who provides thoughtful, compassionate care for individuals and couples navigating life’s most difficult moments. She helps clients identify and overcome self-sabotaging patterns and self-defeating thoughts that disrupt their daily lives and relationships. Through intentional therapy work, Christavia helps people heal and move forward—with themselves and with others.
Therapy Approach
Mental health therapy with Christavia is collaborative and empowering. She believes in helping clients connect the dots—not just treating the symptoms but uncovering the root of the issue. Using an integrative approach that blends cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and client-centered techniques, she offers practical tools and lifelong coping strategies tailored to each client’s needs.
Christavia began her work in mental health in 2012 as a Case Manager at Spindletop Centers, where she discovered her passion for helping people heal. Her clinical background includes working with adolescents, at-risk populations, individuals with developmental delays, clients with dual diagnoses, and those impacted by trauma, abandonment, and complex family systems.
As a counselor and a supervisor, Christavia is committed to breaking mental health stigmas—especially within minority and marginalized communities—and providing a safe space for all individuals to be seen, heard, and supported.
Whether you’re seeking personal growth, relationship healing, or simply a space to breathe and be yourself, Christavia is ready to walk alongside you.
“Together, we’ll uncover the peace and purpose that’s already within you.”
Outside the Office
When she’s not working with clients, Christavia enjoys staying current on mental health trends through continuing education and also diving into a good fiction book for fun. She has a creative side and loves baking, cake decorating, and crafting. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son.
