"The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination." — Carl Rogers
Relationships shape nearly every part of our lives. When those relationships are struggling—whether between parents and children, partners, or family members—it can leave us feeling frustrated, disconnected, and unsure of how to move forward.
Sarah Norville, LMFT, is passionate about helping children, couples, and families build stronger connections, improve communication, and navigate life's challenges together. She believes healing often begins within relationships and that meaningful change happens when people feel understood, supported, and emotionally connected.
Before becoming a therapist, Sarah spent seven years working as a preschool teacher. During that time, she saw firsthand how emotional struggles impact children and families and recognized the importance of early support and intervention. Inspired by her experiences in the classroom—and by her grandmother, who owned and operated one of the largest daycare centers in Liberty for more than 40 years—Sarah developed a passion for helping children and families thrive.
Sarah earned her Master of Arts in Counseling with a concentration in Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy, along with specialized training in Play Therapy from Sam Houston State University. She is a Certified Play Therapist and is Level 2 trained in the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy, one of the most respected and research-supported approaches for helping couples strengthen their relationships.
Her counseling style is warm, collaborative, and personalized. Sarah believes there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. She works closely with each client, couple, or family to understand their unique experiences, strengths, and goals while creating a safe space for growth and healing.
When working with children, Sarah utilizes Child-Centered Play Therapy and Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) to help young clients express emotions, develop coping skills, and strengthen family relationships. With couples, she uses Gottman Method interventions to improve communication, rebuild trust, deepen emotional connection, and navigate conflict more effectively.
Whether she is helping a child find their voice through play, supporting parents through behavioral challenges, or helping a couple reconnect after a difficult season, Sarah's goal remains the same: helping people create stronger, healthier relationships with themselves and those they love.
