"Real change begins with honest conversation."

Life can take us to places we never expected.

Whether you're struggling with addiction, trauma, severe mental health challenges, relationship difficulties, destructive patterns, or simply feeling stuck, it can be difficult to know where to begin. Sometimes the hardest step is finding a place where you can talk openly without fear of judgment.

Mark Asteris believes meaningful change starts with honest conversation, self-awareness, and a willingness to explore difficult truths. With more than 25 years of experience in mental health and criminal justice, he has dedicated his career to helping people navigate some of life's most complex and challenging situations.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider Supervisor, Mark works with adolescents and adults facing addiction, trauma, severe mental illness, behavioral concerns, relationship struggles, and major life obstacles. He has extensive experience supporting individuals who often feel misunderstood, discouraged, or unsure whether change is possible.

Mark's counseling style is direct, compassionate, and collaborative. Rather than telling clients what they should do, he helps them explore their own experiences, identify personal strengths, and discover the motivation needed to move forward. He believes people are often more capable of change than they realize and that meaningful growth happens when individuals are given the opportunity to understand themselves more fully.

His professional journey began as a juvenile probation officer, where he developed a deep appreciation for the impact families and environments have on behavior and personal development. He later worked in adult probation before transitioning fully into counseling, bringing a unique perspective on accountability, resilience, and long-term change.

Throughout his career, Mark has worked with individuals facing addiction, severe mental health disorders, trauma, sexual behavior concerns, and generational patterns that have affected their lives and relationships. His experience allows him to approach difficult topics with confidence, empathy, and a genuine belief that growth is possible.
