"Difficult seasons may shape your story, but they do not have to define it."

Life is filled with changes. Some bring joy and excitement, while others bring pain, grief, uncertainty, and emotional challenges that can leave us feeling overwhelmed. For children, teens, and families, those struggles can affect relationships, confidence, behavior, and overall well-being.

Lisa Lamey, LPC-S, believes that even during life's most difficult seasons, healing, hope, and growth are possible. With nearly three decades of experience working with children, adolescents, and families, she provides compassionate, faith-informed support to help clients navigate challenges and build a healthier future.

Lisa has dedicated much of her professional life to supporting young people and families. Her career includes 10 years as a classroom teacher and many years as a school counselor serving both elementary and middle school students. Through these experiences, she developed a deep understanding of the emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges children and families face and a passion for helping them build resilience and confidence.

She works with children, teens, parents, and families experiencing grief, trauma, anxiety, behavioral concerns, life transitions, and emotional stress. Lisa understands that children often communicate their struggles differently than adults and believes in meeting clients where they are while providing practical tools for healing and growth.

Her counseling approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and play-based interventions to help clients identify strengths, develop healthy coping skills, and create meaningful change. Whether she is helping a child process difficult emotions, supporting a teen through life's challenges, or helping parents navigate family concerns, Lisa creates a safe and encouraging environment where growth can occur.

As a credentialed minister and active church leader, Lisa also offers Christian counseling for clients who wish to incorporate their faith into the therapeutic process. She believes faith can be a powerful source of hope, healing, and resilience during difficult times.

Clients often appreciate Lisa's calm presence, genuine compassion, and ability to help them see possibilities even when life feels overwhelming. Her goal is to help individuals and families move from discouragement and uncertainty toward healing, confidence, and renewed hope.
