Therapist | Less stressful life
Life can feel overwhelming, especially during seasons of change. Whether it's navigating the chaos of parenthood, dealing with the stress of a toxic relationship, or managing anxiety about the future, many of us are simply trying to figure out, “What am I supposed to do?”
Lindsey Powell is a Licensed Professional Counselor who helps individuals and families move from feeling stuck to discovering confidence, clarity, and resilience. She understands how societal pressures, relationship roles, and constant comparison can impact mental health—and she offers a supportive space to challenge those patterns and rewrite the narrative.
With a background in family systems, Lindsey brings a holistic view to her work. She began her career in 2008 providing school-based family prevention services, which sparked her passion for working with children and families. She is experienced in helping clients manage anxiety, depression, self-worth, stress, and communication issues—and she especially enjoys walking alongside clients as they navigate life transitions like divorce, parenthood, and personal growth.
Lindsey earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Family Studies and her Master’s degree in Counseling and Development from Lamar University.
Therapy Approach
Lindsey uses an empowerment-based counseling approach, helping clients identify their own strength and resilience. She believes the mind is a powerful tool, and that changing thought patterns can shift the way we view stress, relationships, and ourselves. She tailors therapy to each individual or family, drawing from play therapy with children, emotional processing with teens, and practical goal-setting with adults.
Whether you’re facing family struggles, personal stress, or simply trying to find your footing, Lindsey offers guidance, support, and encouragement as you build a more balanced and fulfilling life.
“Together, we’ll take steps toward clarity, calm, and the confident life you deserve.”
Outside the Office
When she’s not in the office, Lindsey is usually trying to keep up with her energetic kids. She enjoys decorating for parties, tackling Pinterest projects, and bringing creativity into the therapy process whenever she can. She also loves hiking and spending time in nature. After some initial resistance, Lindsey has also developed a passion for budgeting and finds inspiration in hearing others’ success stories about goal setting and financial empowerment.
