Joyce Foreman, LCSW-S
Therapist | Life Transitions | Grief, Aging & Emotional Wellness
"Through therapy, you can find balance, healing, and hope."
Life is full of transitions. Some are expected and welcome. Others arrive unexpectedly and leave us feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or emotionally exhausted. Whether you're navigating a major life change, coping with grief, adjusting to aging, managing anxiety or depression, or simply trying to regain a sense of balance, you don't have to face it alone.
Joyce Foreman, LCSW-S, has spent more than 30 years helping individuals navigate life's challenges with greater confidence, resilience, and self-understanding. Her passion for helping others has remained constant throughout a career that has included community mental health, psychiatric hospitals, integrated healthcare, addiction treatment, outpatient programs, and private practice.
Joyce works with adolescents, adults, and older adults experiencing grief, life transitions, mood disorders, self-esteem concerns, adjustment difficulties, substance use concerns, and emotional stress. She understands that change—whether positive or difficult—can impact every area of life and often requires new ways of thinking, coping, and responding.
Her counseling approach is rooted in a whole-person philosophy. Joyce believes our emotional well-being is deeply connected to our relationships, physical health, environment, work, and daily experiences. She helps clients explore these connections while developing practical tools that support greater balance and overall wellness.
Clients often describe Joyce as warm, calming, and supportive. Her counseling style is collaborative and personalized, recognizing that every person's experiences, goals, and challenges are unique. She combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, psychodynamic techniques, mindfulness practices, and stress-reduction strategies to help clients gain insight, build resilience, and create meaningful change.
Whether someone is adjusting to retirement, caring for aging loved ones, coping with loss, recovering from difficult experiences, or navigating a new chapter in life, Joyce provides a compassionate space to process challenges and discover new possibilities for growth and healing.
