Therapist | First Responders, Veterans & Military | Trauma, Recovery & Men's Mental Health
"Sometimes the most powerful thing someone can do is tell the truth—with compassion."
For many first responders, military personnel, veterans, and hardworking men, asking for help isn't easy. Years of training, responsibility, and service often teach people to push through stress, carry the burden, and keep moving forward regardless of what they're feeling inside. Over time, that pressure can take a toll on mental health, relationships, and overall well-being.
John Randall, LPC, understands that reality because he has lived it.
With more than 30 years of service in the Fire Service, Army, and Air National Guard, John brings firsthand knowledge of the unique challenges faced by those who serve others. His clients often appreciate not having to explain the culture, the expectations, or the weight that comes with high-stress professions. He understands the language, the lifestyle, and the emotional impact that years of service can have on a person and their family.
John works with individuals experiencing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, recovery challenges, life transitions, and cumulative stress. He is especially passionate about supporting first responders, veterans, active military personnel, and men who often feel pressure to stay strong while carrying struggles in silence.
His counseling style is straightforward, honest, and grounded. In a world full of noise, opinions, and conflicting messages, John believes many people are searching for clarity and truth. He creates a space where clients can talk openly, reflect honestly, and gain practical insight into the challenges they're facing. His goal is not to tell clients what to do, but to help them reconnect with their own strength, resilience, and sense of purpose.
Whether someone is adjusting to life after military service, working through trauma, rebuilding after addiction, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life's demands, John helps clients identify realistic goals and develop practical strategies that fit into everyday life. He combines professional counseling training with decades of leadership experience, creating an approach that is both compassionate and action-oriented.
