Counseling Intern | Relationships, Motherhood & Personal Growth

"Healing happens when people feel seen, supported, and understood."

Starting counseling can feel intimidating, but Brittany Steininger believes that meaningful growth begins when people have a safe space to share their story without fear of judgment. As a counseling intern pursuing her Master's degree in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling at Lamar University, Brittany is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges while building healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

Brittany earned her Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Lamar University and brings a warm, compassionate approach to the counseling process. She believes every person deserves to feel heard, valued, and supported as they work toward healing and positive change.

She has a special interest in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the lasting effects of difficult childhood experiences. Brittany is also passionate about helping couples strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and reconnect emotionally.

As a mother herself, Brittany understands that motherhood can bring both incredible joy and unexpected challenges. She has a particular interest in supporting women navigating pregnancy, postpartum adjustments, and the emotional demands of balancing family, relationships, and personal well-being.

Brittany's counseling style is warm, supportive, and collaborative. She strives to create an environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences, identifying strengths, and developing practical tools for growth. She believes healing happens one step at a time and considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients throughout that journey.

For clients who desire it, Brittany is also open to incorporating faith-based perspectives into the counseling process.
